Alice Munro (above) will make a rare public appearance this evening at the Capitol Theatre in Port Hope, Ont., in support of the launch of The Penguin Book of Canadian Short Stories, in which her work, The View from Castle Rock, appears as the first story. The anthology's editor, novelist Jane Urquhart, will also be present, along with author Michael Winter.
